Lvcivs Cornelivs Scipio arrives back in Rome right after Caesar has left for Africa and thus the Dictator does not learn of his accomplishments in Germany until Lvcivs sends him a letter in Africa with news of the Kembroz wish to be friends and allies of Rome; highly embellishing his own accomplishments of course.
Most of the Barbarian warriors are quartered in 6 Villa Rustici of both heroes, and only 50- changing every 8 days- are brought into a Rome recovering from the chaos Marcvs Antonivs has left it in by his vilest of debauchery.
Lvcivs faces a problem though; Caivs Ivlivs Caesar has turned the constitution of Rome upside- down and the usual Cursus Honorum is largely not viable in the military dictatorship, and with no direct access to Caesar, Lvcivs Cornelivs again faces the problem of how to advance in the world. There is three years till he actually needs to embark on the Cursus Honorum at 30, but his ambition burns and drives him on.
The choices are to either join Caesar in Africa or stay in Rome starting to make a name for himself in case the normal course of things are resumed when the Pompeians are defeated; which everyone assumes is what will happen, though whispers claim that Caesar wishes to be King. Whispers always claim that about the First Man in Rome, from Scipio Africanus to Pompey himself.
